We are the Bakfiets Gym - pronounced ‘buck - feets’, no this has nothing to do with expensive footwear. So, now you know how to say it, you probably want to know what it is.

A Bakfiets is basically the Dutch version of a pick-up truck, it’s a bike with a big tray or ‘box’ on the front. Google it.

We use the bakfiets as a mobile gym, we can take it wherever the wind blows us, sometimes quite literally. All we need is a flat surface, a nice view and we’re good to go! Just to clarify, you will not be riding a bike, that’s our job.

If you hate working out in other people’s sweat cloud, running like a mouse in a wheel, or getting the stink-eye from Arnold wannabes every time you walk into the weights room, the Bakfiets Gym is for you.

We provide (small) group training in a range of outdoor locations in Den Haag, come rain, hail, wind, more wind or shine. Before you ask, the answer is yes. Yes we train outside all year round, it’s actually good for you, science says so. Unless you’re made from sugar you’ll be fine, we promise.

The Bakfiets Gym is an inclusive space, we welcome all fitness levels and abilities, from couch potatoes to professional athletes we can tailor any exercise to your individual needs.

Our lessons focus on full body strength training using weights, resistance bands, your own body weight and emotional baggage (that shit is heavy!).

We offer a range of monthly subscriptions that can be easily canceled or amended. We also offer more extensive programs that include one on one sessions where we look at all aspects of your lifestyle including nutrition, sleep and a whole lot of other stuff.

Our trainers are dedicated fitness beasts who not only know how to whip you into shape, but know how to do it safely. We don’t believe in ‘Go hard or go home’ and ‘No pain no gain’ we believe in doing it right. A solid base technique is the best foundation for a strong healthy body. We do the thinking, you do the training. All you have to do is show up! Seen you soon.

"Wat een verademing om lekker buiten te kunnen sporten onder begeleiding van Guido. Omdat ze vaak samen aanwezig zijn, is er genoeg ruimte voor persoonlijke aandacht en uitleg. Voor mij is het geen typische “bootcamp”, omdat de focus meer ligt op krachttraining en er standaard (zwaardere) dumbbells en kettlebells waren. Houd het vooral zo jongens, origineel en persoonlijk."
